Aunt Lute is at the NWSA Conference

Aunt Lute is thrilled to be a part of this year’s National Women’s Studies Association Conference. Celebrating its 34th anniversary, the conference’s theme is Negotiating Points of Encounter. Some highlights from this spectacular four-day event include a keynote address from the notable poet/author/playwright/teacher Elizabeth Alexander; a plenary session on gender, resistance, and movements; an open mic night sponsored by the Women of Color, South Asian Women’s and Lesbian Caucuses; an NWSA Authors Networking Reception; and an Ageing and Ageism Caucus Event.

The 34th NWSA Conference is taking place at the Cincinnati Netherland Plaza in Cincinnati, Ohio from November 7-10, 2013. NWSA’s annual conference consistently attracts over 1,500 attendees and is the only annual meeting in the U.S. solely dedicated to showcasing the latest feminist scholarship.
