Jo Scott-Coe Writer in Residence at Poets & Writers

December 6, 2013 • Jo Scott-Coe, author of Teacher at Point Blank, is a Writer in Residence at Poets & Writers for the month of December. In Scott-Coe’s first piece, “Jo Scott-Coe on Making Room for Voices”, Scott-Coe reflects on the end of Memoir Journal and the creation of workshop spaces for writers who otherwise may not have access to these communities.

LeAnne Howe’s September reading events are announced

September 4, 2013 • Aunt Lute author LeAnne Howe is gearing up to begin a series of readings this Fall for her forthcoming title, Choctalking on Other Realities. Her first reading will take place at the Oak Lake Writers Conference in Brookings, South Dakota, on September 15th and 16th.

May 16, 2013 • Judy Grahn’s memoir, A Simple Revolution: The Making of an Activist Poet, is a finalist for the 32nd Annual Northern California Book Awards! Her memoir is one of five nominated in the Creative Nonfiction category for books written by Northern California authors. The awards ceremony takes place this Sunday, May 19 at 1pm in the Koret Auditorium at San Francisco Main Library.
