ire’ne lara silva wins award for flesh to bone

February 21, 2014 • ire’ne lara silva’s first collection of short stories, flesh to bone, has been awarded second place in fiction for the 2014 NACCS Tejas Foco Fiction Awards. The Tejas Foco Fiction Awards “recognize outstanding work of fiction or young adult fiction that best represents a significant topic related to the Mexican American experience in Texas.” Congratulations, ire’ne!
