Geling Yan’s Novella Nanjing Heroes Being Adapted for Film

May 1, 2011 • May 1, 2011 Geling Yan, author of White Snakes and other stories, is working on a novel called Nanjing Heroes, based on the Nanjing Massacre of 1937. The novel is currently being made into a film by director Zhang Yimou (who also directed To Live, Raise the Red Lantern, and House of Flying Daggers), based on Ms. Yan’s film script.
