QWOCMAP Film Festival June 13-15

Aunt Lute is proud to be a co-presenter for the 10th annual Queer Women of Color Film Festival. The Queer Women of Color Media Arts Project (QWOCMAP) blends art and activism with community building by supporting the creation, exhibition and distribution of films that reflect the lives of queer women of color.

The festival will run from June 13th-15th, and will showcase 32 films that explore the complex lives of queer women of color around the globe. This year’s featured screening, Re-Generation: Food, Environment & Land, focuses on the legacy of growing our own food and sustaining our lands. All screenings will be held at the Brava Theater, and are free and open to the public. For the very first time, all films shown at the festival will be accessible to Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing members of the community. Visit QWOCMAP’s website for information about the films, show times, and accessibility.
