Nancy Agabian to host writing workshops early 2014

Nancy Agabian, author of Me As Her Again, is hosting writing workshops in New York during the winter and spring of 2014. Agabian’s workshops are tailored for beginning creative writers, writers looking to return to their art, and for writers who desire to explore the intersections of race, gender, sexuality, and class. The workshops are as follows:

Creative Nonfiction/Autobiographical Fiction, January 22-April 2
“This ongoing community-oriented group encourages members to write stories that are both bravely personal and socially conscious.”
When: 10 Wednesday nights, 6:30-9:30 pm EST
Where: Jackson Heights, Queens NY

Jumpstart Your Writing, January 26-March 23
“This online workshop will give you exercises, feedback, and community to re-invigorate your creative process, whether you’d like to start writing for the first time, begin a new project, continue your work with a fresh eye, or delve back into a project you’ve spent time away from.”
When: 8 Sunday nights, 7:00-8:30 pm EST

Community Writing Exercise Studio, February 1, March 15, April 5
“The Community Writing Exercise Studio is geared for all writers, from beginning to advanced, to flex their creativity and to explore issues of place, community, and identity.”
When: Saturdays, 10:00 am-12:00 pm EST
