Fall events with author Joe Scott-Coe

Jo Scott-Coe, author of Teacher at Point Blank: Confronting Sexuality, Violence, and Secrets in a Suburban School, has two events taking place this fall in Southern California.

This Saturday, September 28th, Jo will be featured at the The Green Salon in Downey, California. The Salon is a monthly gathering of artists of all different mediums—poets, writers, musicians, visual artists, dancers, and filmmakers—that get together to share their creations. The event starts at 7pm, so stop in to catch her perform a reading of her wonderful work.

Next month, Jo will be a panelist for “The Lady Problem,” a discussion about the disparity between the acceptance and accolades of the work of women and men in the literary and visual arts. The panel will take place on October 9th from 12:30pm-2pm at the Wignall Museum in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Additional guest panelists include Denise Johnson, Goldberry Long, Julie Peagle, Susan Straight, and Rebecca Trawick.
