Sign up for a 4-week online writing workshop with author Nancy Agabian
Nancy Agabian, author of Me as her again: True Stories of an Armenian Daughter, is hosting an online writing workshop this summer starting at the end of June as a part of her “Heightening Stories” workshop series. Entitled “Jumpstart Your Writing,” this workshop is open to writers of all levels and is geared towards prose writers working autobiographically in fiction or nonfiction, and with an eye towards social change.
The workshop will start with an introductory video session and online survey to ensure that participants will receive exercises on topics designed for their interests. Weekly readings and exercises will be given during the week for writers to work on their own, the content of which will be short stories, memoir, and personal essays covering issues of race, gender, sexuality, class, health, etc. Members will post responses, get feedback from Nancy and the other participants, and then meet through videoconferencing to discuss writing process issues and to report on progress.
